At Infosecurity Mexico we seek to recognize and highlight non-profit initiatives that are making a significant difference in the cybersecurity industry. With this award, we celebrate the dedication and commitment of organizations, projects or groups that contribute to strengthening the information security ecosystem, promoting education, awareness and the development of innovative solutions that benefit the entire community.


2024 NOMINEES


Nominated: Fortinet 

Initiative: Fortinet Network Security Academy (FNSA)

Fortinet's Academic Partner Program works with academic institutions to create a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive cybersecurity workforce through the Fortinet NSE certification program. Our goal is to provide cybersecurity certification to students at schools and universities around the world so they can successfully enter the workforce, while helping to meet the growing demand for professionals specialized in cybersecurity issues. Through this program, Fortinet provides educational institutions with free training for their instructors, course materials, laboratory equipment, and vouchers so that students can become certified and have professional recognition from the industry to improve their job placement.


Nominated: Festival de Ciberseguridad para América Latina  

Initiative: Guía de protección de datos personales y ciberseguridad para personas con discapacidad

This guide is a tool designed to address the unique needs of persons with disabilities in the area of ​​cybersecurity and personal data protection. Recognizing that digital inclusion is a fundamental right, the guide offers a tailored approach that promotes online safety and privacy for this sector of the population through 3 key objectives: | Education on specific cyber risks: It provides detailed information on the particular risks that persons with disabilities may face online. | ​​Personalized protection strategies: Customized tools that consider various accessibility needs, allowing persons with disabilities to effectively and securely manage their personal data. | Promoting digital autonomy: It empowers people to make informed decisions about their online safety.


Nominated: CONSEJOSI 

Initiative: Red de Instituciones de Educación Superior (RIES)

The Network of Higher Education Institutions (RIES) in Latin America aims to promote the integration of cybersecurity in student and academic communities, turning institutions into agents of change to foster a culture of cybersecurity in future generations. In addition, higher education institutions affiliated with RIES can join CONSEJOSI Student Chapters.
